What to Expect Visiting New Wineskin

Visiting a new church can be pretty intimidating! We know because we’ve all been there. We’ve designed this page to help you prepare for your first visit to New Wineskin Ministries so you will know exactly what to expect.

On a typical Sunday morning at New Wineskin Ministries you’ll find that the order of our services include worship, church announcements and teaching of scripture.

What’s a Service Like?

Our services typically last about 70 minutes.

The service will begin with about 15 minutes of worship, lyrics provided on large screens. All are welcome to sing along!
As the Holy Spirit leads, it’s possible that someone may have a prayer to share. You might be asked to stand up during those prayers.
One of our pastors will teach a lesson from the Bible. Often times, there will be a powerpoint slideshow to help the congregation follow along.
On some occasions we may have baptisms during the service. Other times we celebrate communion together. As a visitor, you’re welcome to either participate or observe.
Although our services are casual and relaxed, we make sure to announce anything planned so you’re not guessing what’s next.
As for our dress code… we don’t have one! Everyone wears what they prefer, which is often times something simple and comfortable. Come as you are!

About our Worship

New Wineskin Ministries services start with live contemporary Christian music with the help of our band and worship team. NWM is known for worshiping with flags. When one feels led by the Holy Spirit, flags of all colors and sizes are available to wave in praise and reverence.

He has a gift of taking what may seem like complicated topics in the Bible and explaining them in ways that we can all understand. Our ultimate goal is for everyone to feel comfortable and confident in their ability to read and understand the Bible. You can download a Bible app to your phone for easy access. Yes, that’s why those sitting around you will have our phones out during the service. We’re not texting! Well, most of us aren’t. 😉

What Should I Wear?

No need to worry about this! We’re not stuck on looks, we’re just excited for you to join us. Feel free to wear an everyday outfit. If you’d like to dress up, that’s cool too! Totally your choice.

Will I Have To Identity Myself Or Be Called Out?

We want you to feel welcome at New Wineskin Ministries. But we also want to respect you as you need to as you check things out. You’ll never be asked to stand up, identify yourself, do the hokey-pokey, or anything else that might make you feel uncomfortable.

Am I expected to give money?

As our guest, we do not expect any money from you. Our service is a gift to you! There will be an offering during the service, but you are under no obligation to give. Along with offering time, we offer other ways to give including CashApp, via text, through our church app, via mail, as well as here on our website.
